Why merino?
Merino wool does a few useful things that synthetic tops struggle with:
- Regulates temperature – warm when it’s cold, breathable when it’s not
- Naturally odour resistant – good news if you’re packing light
- Soft against the skin – not the itchy wool you’re remembering from childhood
The Yotei difference
Mons Royale designed this as a slightly heavier merino layer, which means it sits nicely between a base layer and a casual long sleeve.
You can wear it:
- Riding or hiking in cooler weather
- As a winter base layer
- Or just day-to-day when you want something comfortable that doesn’t stink after one wear
The longer cut gives a bit more coverage on the bike, and the relaxed fit means it doesn’t feel like performance gear when you’re just grabbing lunch.
